2010 Rules & Procedures Overview - Updated Rules 12/1/2009
MYWA UPDATES FOR THE 2010 SEASON:
Membership & Misc. Announcements~
- Clubs must submit their registration and fee in order to receive access to their online account.
- Membership fee is $15 per wrestler and must be received by January 15, 2010.
- Late membership fee is $20 per wrestler if received after after January 15, 2010.
- All memership fee's must be paid by March 1, 2009 to be eligible to compete at the regional & state championships.
- All wrestlers 8th grade and younger must become MYWA members in order to be eligible to compete at the MYWA post-season events.
- Youth and middle school wrestlers (born 95-05) are required to wrestle at two MYWA events in order to compete at the regional tournament. Novice and Dual Team tournaments count towards this requirement.
- Important: Any member who is Pending and not Active will have to pay non-member fee's at weekly events. An Active member is a wrestler whose membership fee's have been received by the league administrator.
- Wrestlers in age groups 03-05, 01-02, 99-00, 97-98, and 95-96 receive a one-pound for the MYWA State Tournament. No allowance will be given at the Regional Tournaments!
- Only wrestlers that reside in Michigan are allowed to wrestle in MYWA regional and state tournaments.
- Wrestlers, parents, and coaches are expected to behave in an appropriate manner at all MYWA tournaments, practices, and events. Poor behavior including profanity and abusive language will not be tolerated and violators will be subject to immediate ejection. Repeat offenders may be permanently barred from MYWA events.
